Camel Day Celebration in Ethiopia: \"Unlocking the Potential of Camels for Pastoral and Agro-Pastoral Transformation.\"
The Somali Livestock and Agricultural Research Institute (SoRLARI), in collaboration with the Agricultural Research Institute (ATI), celebrated a Camel Day by conducting a workshop on July 4, 2026, in Jigjiga, Ethiopia, under the theme "Unlocking the Potential of Camels for Pastoral and Agro-Pastoral Transformation." It convened high-level federal and regional government officials, researchers, development partners, and private-sector representatives. This was the first of its kind in East Africa.
